International Woman of Courage

We are delighted to see that Sister Orla Treacy was awarded the International Women of Courage Award at the State Department in Washington this week with nine others from around the world. Sister Orla who was back home with us recently in Bray is a member of the Loreto congregation. She was commended for working to empower young women and girls in conflict-torn South Sudan “at great personal risk and sacrifice” to herself.
